STUDENT CLARINETS
Yamaha Model 20 Clarinets
The Model 20 is one of Yamaha's best selling student clarinets.  The body is
plastic, the keys are nickel silver.  Like all Yamaha products, it is well
engineered.  It plays in tune, it feels right in your hands, and it holds up well
over time.  Cheap, no-name brands are no comparison to the
Yamaha 20, it is a real clarinet.

Our pre-owned Yamaha 20 clarinets are "certified".  That means they have
been completely dis-assembled, cleaned, and re-assembled using new pads
and corks wherever needed.  They are lubricated and regulated so that they
play correctly.  They come with a one-year warranty.  The current list price for
a new Yamaha student model clarinet is well over $900.  We sell our
"certified" Yamah 20's for
$425

Student Clarinets are generally made of plastic, though some are made of wood.  There
are plenty of good brands to choose from, as most instrument makers either make
student clarinets themselves or have another maker produce it, then "stencil" their
brand name on it.  Just watch out for the very inexpensive imported clarinets that are
flooding the market and the internet right now.  They are inferior instruments that will
never play right and lead to frustration for anyone trying to learn to play.  For more

Student bass clarinets are hard to come by, but we try to keep one or two in stock.  Brand names and
prices vary, so contact us for details.  If we don't have what you want, let us know and we'll find it for
you!
 
Bundy Bass Clarinet
For many years Bundy was the standard for American-made student band instruments.  The
Bundy company was bought up by the Selmer Corporation, and this bass clarinet is a
Selmer/Bundy.  One-piece resonite body with nickel-plated keys, neck and bell.  This one is
scheduled for a complete overhaul in our shop.  Check with us to see if it's ready.
